Rain

I stare at Taran. I’m not sure how I feel about everything. Taran won’t tell me what he was doing when the vampire attacked me, but I get the impression he tried to help me. He decided not to go into my mind to find out what happened and instead accepts what I said as the truth.

Why did he change his mind? What changed from when we left North Berwick to now? Taran still seems angry, but I don’t feel as though it’s towards me.

It’s only four in the afternoon, but the events of today make it seem far later. I sit on the bed and stare out the window for a while. Feeling restless, I go to take a shower. When I come out of the bathroom, Taran is gone. Maybe he needed more space than being on opposite sides of the room. It hurts that he just left without telling me that he was leaving or when he will return.
