Chapter 22: Kids could be Cruel

Ana POV

My face flushed. “Um...no not yet. Hopefully soon.” I stammered out. Before she could continue to ask any more questions or give me any more advice with double entendre, I stood up and gave the ladies a slight bow of my head.

“I do apologize ladies; I am feeling quite tired from our travels and feel a headache coming on. I think I am going to head back to the pack house to take a little rest. Do you mind if we continue this advice discussion a little later?”

Louise gave me a worried look. It was hard to tell if she was genuine or if she mimicked Sarah’s insincerity. “Oh, course dear, are you okay to find your way back?” I nodded before turning around and walking away.

My thoughts on Louise’s intentions were made clear as I heard the ladies cackle behind me and murmuring to one another.
