Chapter 17: The Proposal

Tory went back to her daughter with a heavy heart. All that was going through her mind was the conversation she had with Ron.

“My daughter has her own mate”, she had told him. “She will never marry your son. Not when I am alive. I promise you.”

“Then I’ll just kill you”, he said and moved closer to her.

She shivered on her seat while Carl gave an evil chuckle.

Ron smiled and removed a strand of hair from her face. “I’m getting your daughter married to my son whether you like it or not. No one tells me what to do and especially not an animal like you”, he said with a wicked smirk. “If it won’t happen in your lifetime, then so be it”, he said and walked back to his seat.
