Chapter 61 – Who Is The Traitor

(Brielle’s POV)

“Brielle!” Cole called me, offering me his hand.

I held the pit’s edge, but if I lifted one hand, I would slip and fall into the abyss. I cried, thinking this was not a win-win situation for us because if I grabbed his hand, we would fall together. Instead of taking his hand, I released both hands to the edge, accepting my defeat in an unknown battle.

It was a dream.

As I slowly opened my eyes, I found myself in my bedroom… I was sent back to a place I could not consider home anymore.

My chest raised and fell as I thought of Giles’ last words.

‘Good job, Gen!’

It began with a sniffle, then became an uncontrollable sob when I recalled what had happened. I didn’t need to guess where they were now because I was sure the Order had the Kirkwood imprisoned in an underground cell, heavily guarded by other hunters. It would be impossible for me to get in, and even if I had my chance, I didn’t know if I would have the courage to face him.
