Chapter 96: Prove it

Maxwell's face turned red with anger when Carmela told him the news. He yelled and cursed, storming around the room in a rage. He punched the wall, and Carmela flinched in fear.

"You wouldn't dare," Maxwell said, his voice low and threatening. "You wouldn't dare do such a thing."

Carmela looked up at him, her eyes full of tears. "I had to do it," she said, her voice trembling. "I couldn't bear to have your child."

Maxwell strode towards Carmela, his face twisted in anger. He grabbed her by the arms, his grip so tight that she winced in pain.

"Are you lying to me?" he demanded. "Tell me the truth. Why would you lie about something like this?"

"I'm not lying," Carmela said, her voice shaking. "I had to do it. I couldn't bear the thought of having your child."

"Prove it," Maxwell said. "Let me take you to the doctor. We can get a test done, and you can prove that you're telling the truth."
