He nudged the plate again, a confused look in his eyes. He seemed to be asking, 'Didn’t you want this just now? Have it.'

An odd atmosphere had settled over the private room, but he was probably the only person who had not realized it.

Penny did not pick up her cutlery. Instead, she turned to Michael to continue discussing details about the movie.

However, Caleb filled a bowl with chowder and pushed it over to her.

Nobody knew what to say or do in response to that.

Penny heard Khloe say, “I'd like some chowder too, Caleb.”

Caleb put the ladle down and frowned. “Is your arm broken?”

That sentence caused the air in the room to feel even more tense. Not even Michael could stand it anymore.

Penny hurriedly got to her feet and said, “Let’s hit pause on our discussion for today, Mr. Zak. If there’s anything you wish to talk about, you’re more than welcome to drop by S.M.”

Michael was desperate to leave as well, and he immediately shook her hand.
