As soon as the car entered inside the premises of the house, Xavier stepped out of the car and stormed inside the house without sparing a glance at my direction.

I couldn't deal with his bipolar behavior, so I followed him, practically running behind him to catch his pace.

"Xavier, we need to talk. You can't run every time like this." I shouted, this time I didn't care if his grandmother would listen to our commotion.

He halted in his tracks but he didn't turn or say anything. I took slow steps towards him with hammering heart.

"I am sorry, I went a little overboard but you have to understand that I am not a little girl who needs babysitting every time she's in trouble." I put forward my opinion.

"It's late, you should go back to your room, Adeline." He said in a flat tone.
