Before entering the gates, Draven gave us a masking spell that would hide our smell from the orcs. Although they are known to be affectionate towards other creatures, they don’t have the same reaction towards immortals like us.
Since orcs don’t have the ability to shapeshift and stay in their true form, almost all of the immortals despise them for their outward appearance. That is why orcs don’t feel that close to others. They like other animals more and treat them better.
If they knew that immortals like us entered their sacred village, they’d surely be angry and attack us.
