29. Leaving the Nest

I feel restless.

I can't sleep peacefully while Logan is out there somewhere, possibly hurt.

I know his parents and grandfather must be doing everything they possibly can to get him back, but I feel so useless being here doing nothing, living under his roof, and eating his food.

"Danny?"

I jolt and sit up, hearing Trisha's voice. "What is it? Why aren't you asleep?"

Trish rubs her eyes and hops over to me. "I can't sleep. When are we going home, Danny?"

I frown. "Home? Why, what's wrong? Don't you like it here?"

"I do...but..." Trisha hesitates.

"What is it, sis?" I look at her with concern.

"All my toys are there."

I can't help but chuckle. Trisha didn't have a lot of toys, but she cherished the ones given to her. Poor thing must miss them. "How about you go to sleep, and in the morning, I will get up and go get them for you? Will that make you happy?" I ask.

Trisha nods, then walk out of my room without complaining.

I sigh and lie back down. I wonder if she will have a hard
