Shane’s POV
Something in his eyes tells me he's thinking about something profound... about something really deep. Is there something going on here? He's always seemed carefree and laid-back, but this is the first time I've seen him this way.
“What gives you the right to ask me that?” I tried to sound irritated, but deep down, I want him to tell me what's going on.
“Nothing. I was just asking.” He let out a shrug. Is this how he behaves when he's drunk?
