74. Hunt For The Sabotager

Emily had earned my trust and respect with how she carried herself and this new plan of hers. I smiled sheepishly as we stood in the garage and waited for Jude to show up. Then he did and our suspect snuck up behind him.

Jude pretended to drop something in the car and his phone rang. I had called him apparently as part of our plan. Then our suspect rushed to the car when Jude wasn’t looking but he was shocked to see an empty folder.

“Are you surprised?” I asked, coming out of my hiding place with Emily. Jude also turned to face him and we had him cornered.

“Mr. Leo,” he said, jittering in fear.

“Follow me,” I said and he walked behind me nervously while Jude walked beside me.

“How did you do it?” I asked.

“Well, like Emily had said. I pretended to make a phone call that Fleece Group had the wrong design and that was why they found missing parts. Then I said the original design was right there with me as I headed to the car,” he explained.
