Chapter 17: You need to run

~Kira~

“Kira, wake up”

I mumbled incoherent words unconsciously and turned to my side. A hand continuously pushed on my shoulders, disrupting the sleep that I think I worked hard for. I groaned in frustration and pushed it away, not wanting to be disturbed.

“Kira, you need to wake up. It’s not safe here” the voice came again.

That was none of my business. I wasn’t in a war zone so anywhere that isn’t in war is safe for me. Besides, I’m in a cell that my amnesia mate put me into. And I’m alone here. So what could possibly be the threat?

Hold on.

I wasn’t alone. There was someone with me in here. The same person who had been trying to wake me up for some time now. Slowly, I opened my eyes and tried to see who was there. The cell had gotten darker so it was probably late evening now, or even night time. I could barely see.

“We need to leave immediately. I need you to follow me. I can help us escape from here”
