Chapter 64 He Was the One Who Saved Her

Lucy was elated when he hugged her in his arms.

She knew that he would give in if she cried.

It looked like he did care about her.

Lucy was no longer upset, and she felt better. She was even listening to everything Mason said.

“I believe you, Mason. I’m so sorry about what happened.”

Lucy's head was buried in Mason’s arms.

There was a complicated look in Mason’s eyes as he said softly, “It’s fine. I’ll forgive you this time. If you’re still worried, we’ll get engaged when we go back.”

“Are you serious?”

Lucy was elated.

She had hinted so hard before about getting married, but Mason had always pretended not to understand, or he would use work as an excuse to brush it off.

It had never occurred to Lucy that he would be the one to bring it up.

Mason looked at her and said, “Of course, I’m being serious.”

Lucy was overjoyed. She hugged Mason tight around the waist and said, “I knew you love me the most, Mason.”

Mason did not reply. The look in his eyes was cold.
