CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Selena's POV

The celebration was far from over but I was getting sick of it already, only that nobody including Raymond, chose to notice so I had to keep on a fake smile on my face. Everyone was still hailing and chanting my name and Raymond's name now and the members of the executives had stood up to join us on the podium to celebrate too. I couldn't help but wonder why everyone was claiming to be so happy over the news of two werewolves getting mated when they were also just told about the death of their alpha but no one was looking sad about that… except that same member of the executives who didn't want to believe alpha was dead at first.

I just watched the whole crowd wordlessly and I was glad that Alpha saw everything himself. Now he knew who wanted him as leader and who didn't from the beginning.
