Unexpected Visit

As soon as I arrived at Evans' cabin, he welcomed me with a warm embrace and asked me to wipe away my tears. I felt a glimmer of hope at the sound of his voice. Maybe, just maybe, I'd find comfort here for a while like the first time I was here.

I just hoped so.

"Dresh, I know you've been going through a lot lately, especially since you paired with the Lycan King, Alpha Liams. But I need you to listen to me, and carefully–" Evans said, his voice calm and steady.

I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest.

"On the night your son was taken away from the pack house like you said, I was in the woods with my Werewolf friends. We saw a group of rogue werewolves running deep into the woods with a wrapped baby in their hands," he continued.

I felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. Could it be possible that Evans had information that could lead us to our son? Could that wrapped baby be my baby boy?

I just couldn't think at this stage.
