Chapter 4

　　\"My lady, my lady!\" Cristin exclaimed, and then knelt down in front of Zach, crying, \"Emperor, the Concubine has injuries on her leg so she really can\'t kneel. What happened today is the servant’s fault. If the Emperor wish to punish someone, then he should punish the maidservant.\"

　　Lucille looked at me with a hint of triumph, but she still wanted to pretend to be virtuous and generous in front of Zach, \"Emperor, since Concubine Lisa has an injury on her leg, let’s forget it. I just wanted to...\"

　　She just wanted to boast her power in front of me, that’s for sure. What\'s more, she was the marvelous Empress of the Eastern Kingdom.

　　\"No, let her kneel,\" Zach’s expression remained unchanged. He raised his hand and gently touched the ends of Lucille’s hair, his eyes were full of smiles. \"I was just so used to her before, but now that you are the Empress, you will always have the final say in the future.\"

　　\"Lucille Su thanks the Emperor for his grace!\" Lucille said happily that she forgot to address herself as the Empress.

　　However, Zach didn\'t seem to care. He just reached for her waist, and said, \"It\'s freezing, you must be cold. Let\'s go, I will send you back to the palace.\"

　　He didn\'t look at me again, nor did he mention when I should stand.

　　He just placed his arms around his new wife and walked past me without squinting.

　　The noisy plum garden finally returned to tranquility. When everyone was gone, Cristin stumbled to me and came to help me in a hurry, \"My lady, they’re all gone. Get up quickly, I’ll send you back to the palace.\"

　　My knee was wet and began to ache. When Cristin lifted me up, we staggered and nearly fell down.

　　\"My lady!\" she exclaimed.

　　Cristin hurriedly supported me, which made me a little stable. I turned my head and smiled at her, \"I\'m fine, don\'t worry.\"

　　After returning to Showa Palace, my leg began to hurt more and more. I was afraid that the old disease will recur. Cristin panicked and went to get an Imperial doctor for me, but when she ran to the door, the Imperial doctor had already arrived at the door.

　　It was the same doctor that Zach had assigned to me before, who was specifically responsible for helping me regulate my body.

　　Cristin watched nervously as Doctor Hu gave me needles and compresses. Even though Doctor Hu had said no less than ten times that my legs were fine, she was still worried because of the cold.

　　\"My lady, I\'m sorry to tell you that the cold winter is coming. It is better for you to go out less in the future, so as to avoid getting cold and to stop the illness from recurring.\"

　　I think Doctor Hu talked a lot today, but it was just to keep me from going out, nothing else.

　　Thinking of what happened in the garden today, I glanced at Doctor Hu with my eyebrow raised, and said, \"Did Zach asked you to tell me that?\"

　　When Zach’s away, I always called him by his first name.

　　Doctor Hu lowered his head and ignored the question, \"You need to take a medicine. I will send it to you personally later. I hope my lady will take care of her body.\"

　　I was well aware that I was the only exception to this harem and that almost everyone regarded me as a thorn in the flesh because of this. Today, when I was punished for not kneeling in the garden, many eunuchs and maids saw it with their own eyes, so naturally, no one would just kindly send me doctor.

　　Only Zach would.

　　I knew he deliberately didn\'t say how long he would punish me for not kneeling today, but he was already helping me. I also knew that over the years, Doctor Hu has given me the best healthcare and medicinal materials available.

　　I also knew that the Showa Palace, except me, were all from Zach.

　　At night, I kept tossing and turning in pain and was unable to sleep.

　　As I felt the curtains on my bed being lifted, a whiff of ambergris scent entered my nose, and there were warm hands on my knees. The pain made my whole body excited.

　　\"Didn\'t the Imperial doctor say it\'s okay? How could it hurt like this?\"

　　It was Zach, he always liked to come quietly like this.
