Chapter 41

'Once again shot down.' Collen let a sigh escape his lips. After showing Evelyn the ring and her crying for some time she jumped up from the couch, and firmly shot down his proposal once again.

"I'm not gonna give up!" Collen called over his shoulder leaving their office waving goodbye.

"Give up or I'll have you cleaning the restrooms again!" Evelyn yelled. Calling out from the other side of the door.

As the door fully shut behind Collen, he couldn't help but feel let down, as gloom over took his face. Making for the elevator, he was just about to pass the bar when he noticed something. He froze mid step, took two steps backwards and look to his left at the bar counter. Rebecca was twisting side to side in a stool behind the bar. Her Elbows resting on the counter,  her chin atop her interlocked fingers while looking at Collen with a giant shit eating grin.

"Sooo boss..... Are we having a good day?~" Rebecca was near singing the question, her grin gro
