"MAMA!" Denver calls Maxine as he gets the two plastic bags in her clasping hands.
He smiles at Angelito, easing his apprehensive chest. The last time they saw each other was in the police station. However, now… he is here for good with an unknown answer for the thoughts flying in his head.
Maxine takes her coat and put it on the arms of the chair in front of the door. She breathes heavily, and unexpectedly, Angelito's heart turns luminous.
"How are you, Don Angelito?" her question shakes his world as it crumbles the most complex outer shell of his soul. No one ever makes him feel this way again, not even his stepmother.
This time, he finally has the gut to face her in a friendly and presentable way after she wakes up from a coma. No matter what happened, Angelito still owed her since she and Denver made him feel worthy again for forgiveness.
