Nicholas did not understand why she kept silent. He moved closer to her but she kept moving back. Then he saw the reason why. Her eyes are widened, staring at the gun in his hands. He immediately put the gun away.

"Why aren't you telling me? I want to know how you are feeling." He demanded.

Rose's heart dropped, in relief. "How... How am I doing?"

He nodded, "You were passed out since yesterday and we've barely had time to talk. Are you okay now? Tell me how you are feeling."

Rose sighed in relief one more time, he didn't catch her yet. He was talking about her health. She decided to play it as she would.

"I am better, thanks for asking." She replied him and wanted to walk away.

However, he pulled her by the arm and stopped her from leaving. He looked her straight in the eyes like he was searching for something. She didn't understand what was going on with him but his eyes seems to be softer than before.
