Chapter Forty Eight: Chase Them Away
"What's your plan?" Gavin asked.
They returned to the city after dinner. Gavin finds out that Elize intended to travel pretending to be followed by the Dark Phoenix people.
"It's not just the Dark Phoenix who wants me dead Gavin. Even your father's allies. They know I'm the one who brought out the evidence against them." Elize said.
"How will they know?" Gavin asked.
"Dark Phoenix. They'll clear their name and I'm the one they'll emphasize." Elize said
"What?" Gavin asked, frowning.
"Aren't you wondering why your father just looked and asked you that last night?" Elize asked.
Gavin was stunned. Elize overheard them talking to his father.
"Have you heard us speak even if you were in the bathroom?" Gavin asked.
"I know everything, Gavin, don't underestimate me," said Elize. "Now Gavin, do you still want to force yourself on me?"

Elize kicked a room, that was the last of her attempts to enter that room. A man was standing there and pointed his gun at Lindsey's head. Elize's tears flowed when she saw Lindsey's appearance. Her hair was disheveled, her face was bruised and there was blood on the side of her lip. Lindsey's clothes were hanging, ripped, and bleeding on her legs. Lindsey begged for her. Elize ran fast and hurried to Sparrow. All her attacks were blocked and she knew Sparrow would do dirty tricks. Sparrow needed to hit her injury again to win. This will slow her down. Elize and Gavin are leaving. There were more shooters than Elize knew wasn't Dark Phoenix. "They don't belong to Dark Phoenix," said Elize. "Well, who are these people?" asked Gavin. "Who else?" replied Elize. Elize pulled Gavin inside the large warehouse. Elize was looking for weapons and anything they might use. Gavin did as well. Elize pulled Gavin back of that big steel box. "They are too many," Gavin said. "What sort of person are they? What do they think of me, Superwoman?" Elize said gently. "They've got lots of henchmen." "What do you mean? Have you fought a lot before?" Gavin asked, who was shocked. "Ah, not too much. There are only a few," Elize stated. Then a bullet landed on the steel box where Elize and Gavin were hiding.
