I ended up leaving before those two.

Won’t lie, I was pretty shocked someone had the guts to talk back to me even when I was playing with a knife.

I chuckled. She must be crazy or something!

Well, I’m primary school…. I gained the nickname “Laura the demon” because I usually beat up kids. Not on school premises though, didn’t want to get expelled.

On my way home, I passed through a market like I always did. Then a tight alley before getting to a broken down wooden door.

“I’m home, Jay!”. I smiled genuinely as my five year old brother half opened his eyes to look at me. He seemed to have been sleeping for a while all wrapped up in his little blanket.
