Fake mates

Nathaniel and Gabriel walked toward Caleb who was wiping his face. Hot breath still left his nostrils. He was seething. All she cared about was the stupid tournament. Was that how cheap her life meant to her?

“Caleb, you did great out there. The guy didn't even touch a strand of your hair!” Nathaniel laughed, trying to change the atmosphere. It would be dangerous to talk about Lily again.

“I think this is the reason Caleb doesn't like joining the tournament, it is too cheap for him. He is a great fighter!” Gabriel added having the same idea as Nathaniel. He touched Caleb’s toned shoulder.

It was true. Caleb had trained hard his entire life. He left no room for procrastination and discipline. Rather, he took practicing as one of the most important things in his life. Now, fighting with high school students was nothing to him hence he counted joining as cheating. He would beat them hands down.

“Now that you won, who is going to be your slave?” Nathaniel asked.
