CHAPTER 48

Maya, with the assistance of Steven, her bodyguard carefully stepped out of the car when it stopped at the driveway at the hospital, a week later when she was discharged. She sat down on the wheelchair prepared for her and Steven then wheeled her inside.

As much as she wanted to walk, her legs will give out the longer she stands, something her physical therapist is helping her with.

After being given the all clear for discharged on her third day in the hospital, she received news that Grayson had slipped into a coma. Something that she had feared every time she goes see him and he still had not regained any consciousness.

Benedict had to put some sense back and lectured Maya when she broke down in front of him when she was given the news.

“Grayson does not need your tears, Maya,” Benedict lectured firmly. He placed both hands on her shoulders and gently shake her to stop her from crying. “He’s not going to be happy if I tell him that you’re acting like this when he wakes up.”
