Max went down into the basement and to the room that was well monitored. He scanned his id and then walked into the surprise of the people who worked in there. It wasn’t often that someone came down there in person. They looked at him like he was an alien of some sort. He grinned and knew he was being the one who was out of place.
“Hi,” Max said. “I have a case where one of my main suspects might have been involved with a lawsuit that was probably criminal but more likely civil dealing with an underage female.”
“If the suspect is not in jail, it was probably civil.” One of the men said as he pushed up his glasses.
“That was what I was thinking,” Max said as he looked at the four people that were in the room, still staring at him. “Is there a way for me to access the trial notes?”

The receptionist poked her head in about an hour later while Max was laid back in his chair and reading one of the files. If it hadn’t been a crime against a child or teenager, in this case, it would have made for some interesting reading. It turned his stomach, but he was intrigued by how this man had gotten off on so many charges of the years.“Your interview is here in room three.” She said, and he nodded.“Thank you. I do have one more coming in a bit later. Max walked out of the interview room and looked at his watch. He had a few minutes before the next interviewee would be there to be placed in the room. He knew the receptionist would do it the way he said, so he went out the back for a minute to get a breath of fresh air. He had a lot of new little details to go over.He knew this was complicated in the end, and a lot of people were involved, but this was the last of the fact-finding he had to do. The little details about Samantha and her relationships would be the ones that were the nails that held the box shut for the people really involved in her death. It wasn’t a normal case. Max looked at his brother, and he could see that he had not grown into a better man like Max had. He was the same as he always was. The favorite child in a family of two. He could have anything that he wanted, and he was given everything. Their parents had loved him more. It was plain in the way they had watched over him but never seemed to care about what Max had done.This was not the time to deal with that. Max sat in his living room that he now had poster boards hanging everywhere. This was the one time that he didn’t have someone there to tell him he was making a mess. He already knew, but this was the best way to show how he got the evidence and how the clues all fit together. He was happily sticking things on the fourth poster board and knew this case was going to have at least fifteen to possibly twenty. It was also there to show how so many players had a hand in her death, but they were not the ones who pulled the trigger. He could see that person clearly. Though it was not going to be easy to show that. That is why he knew he had to do all of this.
