Lily narrowed her eyes. "What if they gave you money to tell them?"

"I'll take the money, but I'll feed them false information. There are folks who paid me to keep her from being found, after all." A sly grin spread across the woman's face.

Lily breathed a sigh of relief. "That's right, Mom."
