Chapter 22: A rough clash

King Maximilian and Lord Arcturus sat in the dimly lit chamber of Arondale, their faces masked by shadows as they devised a sinister plan. Lady Elizabeth's visit to Arondale, and how to make her way to the chambers of Prince Alexander, presented a golden opportunity to further their ambitions and tighten their grip on power.
