#Chapter 37: Trouble with the Devil

The dean's office felt suffocating, the air heavy with disappointment and tension.

The stern gaze of the dean bore down on Jessica and me, his disappointment palpable.

The weight of what happened pressed upon my shoulders, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of remorse for allowing this feud to get to this point.

"I can't say I'm surprised to see the two of you back here again," he remarked, his voice tinged with exasperation. "I had hoped that our previous discussions would have put an end to these confrontations."

"She started it," she retorted, pointing an accusing finger in my direction. "She's always been the instigator."
