Chapter 13- Back To Reality

Amber and Leo laid in each other’s arms for a longtime afterwards. No words were spoken between them, but no words were needed. And for a blissful moment in time, the world seemed to stop, gone was the chaos, the stress, nothing but the two of them and the sound of their beating hearts remained. Nothing else mattered.

But reality made its unwelcomed intrusion far too soon as Amber’s watch begun to ring from her nightstand. She groaned at the broken spell, desperate to hold onto this perfect moment for just a while longer. When the sun came up, would this time with Leo, all have been nothing but a dream? Or worse, just a stolen moment, fleeting, leaving her broken when Leo decided to face reality that the two of them would never work? Here in these walls, in this fantasyland, it was so much easier to pretend than out there.

Leo was beautiful, kind, from an affluent family with a bright future at his feet. Amberleigh was a whore born and raised in a ghetto, who never even graduated high
