Chapter 25

Claire's POV

"Okay, class, don't forget to turn in your test before you leave," Our Spanish teacher said, and we all placed our test on Mr. Tucker's desk before walking out of the classroom.

"Hey Claire," Christy said

"Hey," I said while putting my books in my locker

"Some of us are leaving school early. We are about to go to Crescent Lake. You should come with us," she said

"I don't know. I don't want to get into trouble. I haven't been going to this school for long. Plus, what about Jenn," I said

"You won't get into trouble. We do this all the time, and no one ever gets caught, and we will be back before school ends. Your sister will be fine," Christy said

I thought about if I should go or not. A part of me felt I shouldn't go because I didn't want to get in trouble. But another part of me wanted to go because I haven't done anything fun with people my age since my parent passed away. I hardly had any friends since they were alive. So what could it hurt to act my age for once
