Chapter 34 Brazil

AMBER POV

  I didn't pay attention to anything when we arrived in the little village hidden deep in the jungle a few hours ago. Lucian took me start to a simple structure, and I haven't left since. 

  I keep trying to sleep, but when I close my eyes, I see everyone I have lost...Kohn, other Amber, the station attendant, my dad, my mom, and even Thatcher. Kenny isn't dead, but I will never see him again. So his face flashes amongst the rest. 

  My entire body feels hollow. I don't think I can even grieve anymore. My eyes are dry, and my throat hurts from the dry sobs. Not to mention the new environment is causing me to sweat profusely, probably using the moisture my body typically makes tears with.

    I hate feeling this pain. I hate feeling all this guilt. It's all my fault. If I had never blown up that basement all this would have never happened. Lu
