: Met a new friend

It was the beam of sunlight on my face that woke me up the next morning. 

I yawned, my eyes trying to accustom to the ceiling staring down at me. I turned to the other side and found no one by the side of the bed. I sat up, leaning my back on the bed board and pulling off the blanket that I didn't know how it got on my body.

I was famished, for the fact that the last time I got something in my mouth was yesterday's morning. But I wasn't selfish enough to forget my companion. The siren was planned to help save her twin before landing into bigger trouble. I pushed off the thought that the worst had been done to Catherine. What if they strip her off her powers as well?.
