In the middle of all his thoughts Oberon could feel that the light buzz which was going around from all the chatter in the lobby stop suddenly. It changed into surprise and excited speculation which made him aware of all the people turning and looking back and fixating at the head of the grand staircase which led down from the mezzanine level where the main restaurant was situated.
