52. Time is Money

A few days later, a notification alerted me that my plan had worked. The money that Lucas had wired to the account had been withdrawn at a bank in the Cayman Islands. Finally, after all this time, I had a lead.

"Wakey, wakey, Princess." I shouted as I walked into the main living room. Mingmei was asleep on the couch, and from the looks of it, she didn't have the best night's sleep. I tried to control my laughter, knowing full well that the princess wasn't accustomed to such a frugal lifestyle. I know the sight shouldn't make me laugh, but I couldn't help it. Mingmei was extremely pampered. She had no idea how to live in a world where people didn't bow down to her every command.
