Chapter 22 - Is He a Werewolf?

Gerthel tried calling him through mind-linking. “Boss Dar, can you hear me?” she said. She was looking at him, checking if she could feel what she was doing and hear what she said.

He was not even looking at her, she cannot get through with his mind. She is not sure if he is not really what she thought he is or if he just blocked her from getting into his mind.

All of a sudden, Boss Dar looked up and put down his spoon and fork. He then held her gaze for a moment while his forehead furrowed.

“Can you hear me?” she asked this time verbally.

“Hear you? Did you say anything?” he simply asked, and then he wiped his mouth with a table napkin.

Gerthel did not know that while trying to mind link the Boss, she opened her mind freely letting the Boss see through her mind.

Secretly the Boss was smiling, he can block her from reaching his mind and seeing through what he is thinking but now that her mind has been freely opened from him, he can read and hear whatever is inside her thoughts. B
