Chapter 55:
Sanaya’s P.O.V
I woke up with a start; gasping in huge gulps of air like I’d been starving for days.
“Hey, it okay! Sanaya.” Lancelin’s voice came from somewhere next to me and I reached my hands out towards him instinctively.
A pair of strong arms wrapped around my body, pulling me taunt against a hard muscular chest. “Shhh…it’s okay. You’re safe now. You’re home.”
I hadn’t realized I was struggling against him until Lance had to hold me to him even harder, trying to calm me down.

They were spared the gory details about his advent into darkness and how he wanted to manipulate Mages and other creatures of Shadowland to gain control over other dimensions.It was a unanimous decision by the Queen mother, Lance and Acelin. Fairy lights hung from the railing of the terrace and the roses were bordered with red fairy lights to bring them to life. Even the gazebo was lit up and there were red velvet drapes all around them to give us privacy.But the biggest surprise was the table set in the middle of the terrace, right in front of the lotus shaped fountain. Epilogue:The Dark Council Vault“Thank you for gathering here,” Miaka spoke to the general audience, her brothers and sister, gathered around a round table.The vault was mental and every member was here through their sub-consciousness; but every decision made here was very much conscious. She had been able to create these mental vaults since she was a child and they became very useful as she grew up when she could arrange emergency Dark Council meetings without everyone having to be physically present. She had been influenced by the legend of King Arthur and his round table for his knights while designing the outline for this mental room, in which all the Knights bore equal power. Similarly, all Kings and Queen here were equal, even though they considered her their leader.
