Gen, we are going to be late. There’s hardly time enough to have breakfast; what’s keeping you in your room?” Eva called out from where she sat at the dining table after glancing at her watch.

“Coming…” Genova took one last glance at herself in the mirror, picked up her bag and hurried out of her room.

“Shit, I am really going to be late,” she muttered as she sprang through the flight of stairs to reach the living room before taking a sharp turn to the dining area.

“Thanks for your patience, aunt. I honestly lost track of time – my bad.” Genova muttered apologetically.

“Well, we aren’t exactly behind schedule just yet. There’s still a chance we will make it in time if we leave now—” Eva broke off when she lifted her head from her tablet to look at the young lady before her.
