Bry's p.o.v

We found Ava downstairs in a very uncomfortable silence. Her somber face and her tensed posture were extremely telling. I never seen that look on her, even when we threw pretty insults on her way.

Ray have cut my story about my past earlier to create a distraction for her. She seems to have taken it hard and we wanted her to first cool down.

Ray resumed his place beside her in the comfy couch. He squeezed her hands slightly, assuring her that he was going to be there the entire time. After she said I could go on with the narration, and I did. 'Remember I had told you earlier that we had planned to sneak out?' I asked her and got a nod from her.

'Like I said earlier, we didn't know our drinks had been laced with different stuff. Mine with Viagra and Ray's with sleeping pills.' I reminded her, before continuing.
