Chapter 22

Sophie flopped onto the living room sofa, holding a tub of ice cream and a spoon in her hands. She reached for the remote control on the coffee table and used it to turn on the large LED TV in the cozy room, randomly flipping through the channels. She hadn't realized it was Thursday until she landed on channel 39, which corresponded to GHShow, and came across an episode of "The Key to the Heart."

Parker tried to deceive herself, pretending not to be curious about what was happening on the show and who Nicholas would choose to eliminate that night. She briefly flipped through other channels but ended up returning to the fateful 39.
