22 // Queen of Minds

I couldn't stand to look at my mother's body, as I sat against my father's grave while Sam dug a grave close by.

My mother did not get a dignified burial, she did not deserve to die the way she did, she did not deserve to die at all.

I don't think I had the courage to leave and start over with my life without burying my mother.

If anything, I don't know what I would have done if Sam wasn't there with me. I would forever be grateful to him.

I don't know how he managed to do it, especially with that awful stench, but he fitted my mother into the bigger suitcase and carried it all the way to the cemetery while I followed close by.

Once the hole was deep and wide enough to fit the suitcase, he pulled the bag and as gentle as he tried to be, he was exhausted, the bag fell into the hope with a loud thud.
