chapter thirty

[ IN WHICH SHE IS ON FIRE ]

Smoke fills the hallways in no time.

The maids and several other workers from the mansion run helter skelter as they search for buckets of water and other items that can be used to put out the fire.

I stand still, amidst the chaos I have created, waiting for the huge, brown door to fall off.

My vision gets blurry, and my view of the door gets blurred out by the smoke, and, soon, I begin to cough. My oxygen gets cut off. I grow impatient waiting for the door to come off. Unsatisfied with the way my plan has turned out, I look around to see the fire is already being put out by the workers. I didn't think through this before I decided to set the door ablaze. Not having the time and energy to stop the maids and servants, I need to find another way to break open the door. The house isn't entirely made up of wood, but bricks, so the fire doesn't do much damage as I had hoped.
