Barlion Great....

Looking up at the statue of the woman, I let out a heavy sigh.

It's almost sunrise and she still hasn't come to the garden.

Maybe it's a good thing that she changed her mind about coming. It might not be safe for either of us.

So, why do I feel disappointed that she didn't show up.

"It's time for you to go, Barlion." Uncle Jeremy said as he placed his left hand on my right shoulder. "Don't forget to be alert and don't let your guard down. I'll have someone out there for you but my reach might be limited. I don't want Viper to know you have protection."

Nodding my head, I kept my eyes on the woman standing in the middle of the fountain for a few more seconds, wishing that she'd see me off and expect me to be back here tonight, hopefully safe.

Walking around the fountain, I stepped over to the back entrance of the castle when I heard her voice.

"I'm here." Her soft voice reach my ears, sending a lovely trill to run down my spine.
