The rest of the day wouldn't go as fast as I wanted it to go. I had wanted to go to Barlion as soon as I heard Victor talking to one of the council men but I couldn't go and interrupt his lunch with his family. And right after lunch, he went in to court, accepting more complaints and cases of his people.

So I had to settle to waiting for him until I get him at night.

I was sitting in his study in our chamber, right across from his seat behind the large table.

My eyes traced the papers, letters and books pilled on the desk, all waiting for Barlion to bend his back over them.

I bit my right thumb nail, tapping my feet when the nerves started to build up in my stomach. My knees uncontrollably bounced as I waited for him.

After what felt like years, Barlion finally showed up. He walked in to the study and as soon as he saw me, his eyes lightened up, slightly distracting me from what I wanted to tell him.
