10. An Encounter

The path that Selene had taken successfully led her to an exit at the back of the castle. From the noises coming from the adjacent room, which was separated only by a wall, she knew it was the kitchen, where the kingdom's guards and workers were having dinner, just like the king, the prince, and the guest. She hurried but was so careful that anyone who had seen her would say she was levitating.
