49. You don't do it for me

Their bodies fell onto the bed, satisfied and with their hearts racing.

"You're wonderful," Frederick murmured, kissing Selene's forehead.

"I love you," she replied with a slight smile, settling into Frederick's arms.

"I'm looking forward to our wedding; if I could advance it, I would without hesitation," he said.

Selene shook her head.

"You can't do that; Samantha's birthday cannot be canceled," she reminded him.

"I know, my love," he sighed.

"Is there something bothering you?" Selene asked, noticing his troubled expression.

"Mom talked to me about her; she wants me to find a good husband for her, and honestly, I can't think of anyone suitable for Samantha. I wouldn't want to marry her off out of obligation, Selene. I want her to experience love," he said.

"I'd like to help you; however, I don't know any suitable gentlemen," she said, falling silent.

Frederick pondered his options for a moment; he knew many important people in the kingdom, and any of them would be more than happy to
