Chapter 21

After the morning meeting with Estelle, Alexander, perhaps wisely, thought it better to place the burden of helping me choose my ladies to someone else. An older lady names Agatha, who was far too old to be of any direct threat to me.

Much to my disgust, Estelle was still to be included in my court. The idea of which had my teeth on edge. To my relief, Estelle rarely graced us with her presence. And the few times that she did, it was merely for appearance before slipping away. I had no deception to know that she was most likely slipping away to find my mate, and as much as I disliked the idea that she was still trying to win her way into his affections.
