The Last Alpha Chapter 27

Each day, I keep on praying for answers. Sherriff Christian talks to me earlier about being vigilant because those criminals are crossing the borders of Clearwater and Forks.

My chest is pounding like crazy because my schedule changed the other day. I am now going home at ten in the evening every day until those interns finish their duties.

I stop taking too much coffee after Sherriff has a conversation with me. On the other hand, I park my car in the vacant space in between those two cars. I turn off the engine and go inside the hospital premise.

It’s already three in the afternoon. Madam may be at the cafeteria having her snack. After logging on to the system, I put my belongings inside the locker.

“What did Christian tell you?” My heart would like to jump out of my chest when I close the door, and Fenris appears out of nowhere! His intelligent black eyes are staring at me like no tomorrow.

I let out a heavy breath when I finally caressed my chest.
