SARAFINA
I felt someone tapping my back. I blinked as I fluttered my eyelids open, it was Pooja.
"You better get your ass up, sleepy head" she said as she stared down at me.
I sat up, a smile crept to my lips as I remembered the time I spent with Jamal yesterday.
I placed my palms on my cheeks, recalling how he cupped them yesterday.
"If you keep smiling like that, I'm going to assume you are running mad" Pooja huffed snapping me out of my train of thoughts.
I slapped her hands. "Who is running mad, it's like you are not okay"
"Says the girl who wakes up and the first thing she does is to start smiling like a maniac, it is you who is not okay"
I scowled at her. "Where are the others?" I asked.
"Preparing for the arrival of Jamal's betrothed" she replied with a scoff.

SARAFINA "My maiden" Jafar said with a weird smile. I looked down at his hands on my waist, I think he saw where my eyes was, because he quickly removed his hands. I sighed and moved back a bit. "Hi Jafar" I said stiffly. His eyes scanned my face as if scrutinizing it. "Are you surprised to see me or is it unhappiness?" He asked. I took in my lower lip, batting my lashes nervously. "Why would I be unhappy to see you?" I just didn't know how to react since I was seeing him for the first time after our last encounter, him hugging me and saying he was sorry, when I couldn't even pinpoint what he did wrong. He shrugged and held my hands. "We can't tell, you might have written me off in your mind" I laughed — a genuine smile at that. "Written you off? That's silly of you think" I said amidst laughter. &n
SARAFINA Aishh!! Why do I keep bumping into royalties? "Ehm... Ehm... I'm sorry Princess" I stuttered stretching my hands to pull her up. "Get your filthy hands off me you lowlife commoner!" she yelled swatting my hands away without looking at me. I flinched at her words and moved back, readjusting my burqa so that she won't recognize me. People were already gathering around the place. The only good thing is that we are still feet's away from the palace. Suddenly someone pulled me away from the crowd. I looked at Pooja holding my hand and I snatched it away as we got to the back of the the crowd. "Pooja! What is wrong with you" I snapped. She pouted, blinking her eyes like a doll. "You should have just left there when you pushed her, besides she deserves it" She said clicking her tongue. "You are insane!
SARAFINA It was almost nighttime when we got back. Pooja had actually taken us to a dance club. And the crazy girl had actually forced us to perform our native dancing. It was fun though especially because I was able to tell Zella about my life in the palace, though I skipped the part of I and Jamal. But still she was happy that I was now free from punishment and her insane mother. -like she put it- "You should get going now, Zella" I said to Zella when we already halfway to the palace. She halted and Pooja and I did the same."where exactly" she asked with a scoff. I gaped at her in surprise. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I have no where to go" she replied shrugging. Like seriously? She was acting so carefree as if she had not just dropped an huge bomb in words. "What are you saying Zells?" I blinked rap
DITYA The swinging opening of the door was what woke me. I flickered my eyelids open as Insia, my maid from Pecan walked in. She bent and arranged my flops where I could easily slip my legs into it. "Morning princess" she greeted as I sat up. "What am I doing today?" I asked ignoring her greetings. "You will be meeting with the new maids that are already assigned to serve you" "Then?" "I believe you are supposed to take a walk with your betrothed before noon" I scoffed. "Seems like we didn't get off on the right foot but a walk can iron things out... Right?" I asked her. She bowed slightly. "Yes, princess" "Good..." I paused. "Insia.... I need you to do something for me" "Anything for you princess" I smiled and slipped my legs into my flops.

JAMAL After I left Ditya, I made my way to the maid working area, hoping to see Sarafina. It has been two days since I last saw her and I was starting to forget how I feel anytime I do. Ditya's arrival has actually made me understand two things — I still can't feel which means my curse has not been broken and staying with Sarafina can be a temporary cure to my curse. I got to the working area and my eyes scanned the workers, they were all busy with their various works that they didn't notice me. I cleared my throat to draw attention. They turned to me subsequently. They all moved back, bowing their head in courtesy. Some trembling visibly. "Where is Sarafina" I asked the maiden closer to me. "Sarafina?" She asked with a raised brow. "I don't repeat myself" I replied her curtly. "Sorry my prince" she said, shifting back and bowing her
﹏﹏﹏﹏SARAFINA.The force of the slap sent me flying to the ground in no time. I blinked rapidly as tears stung my eyes. She came at me again and I closed my eyes expecting the hit but I got none.I peeked through the corner of my eyes and saw Jamal holding her hands up, his eyes a dangerous gleam of fiery red."One more hit on her and you might not live to see the setting of the sun" Jamal said and I gasped."Jamal!!" Ditya screamed angrily as she freed her hands from his grip and moved back. I stood up from the ground and silently tried to leave."Don't move an inch, Sarafina" Jamal said without looking at me. I stopped, how did he know?. "He grabbed me and with one last glare at Ditya, he pulled me out of her chambers." Jamal, Jamal wait" I said with an hysterical edge to my voice as he kept pulling me out not minding the prying eyes of the palace workers."Sarafina, just keep quiet and follow me" he repl
﹏﹏﹏﹏ SARAFINA. I can't explain the sudden change of the atmosphere. I can't explain how the air suddenly becomes so thick with desire. I don't even understand how this is happening. One minute Jamal is telling how he can't feel, how he has been cursed his entire life... And then like a flash he is kissing me like is life depended on it, and stupidly enough... I'm kissing him back. Yes —Stupidly enough... Because no matter how much this kiss affects me. No matter the emotions it stirs up inside me No matter the realization dawning on me now, that I might be in love with him. That I am so foolish enough to have fallen for Prince Jamal. I have to remember that he is no least affected, because Jamal can't feel. Jamal is cursed and he can't even understand my em
