CHAPTER 7 – The Risk

Lexus approached Daffodil and motioned to her to keep quiet. “Stay quiet and just sit on the bed, I heard a growl outside,” he murmured to her.

Daffodil was stiffened. Fears suddenly engulfed all her senses. She cuts Dixon’s call and sits still as he told her so.

Lightly, Lexus walked near the glass door and locked it gently. He further pulled the curtains to cover the glass door fully. He sat beside Daffodil and strengthened all his senses.

After a while they heard again that soft growl, somewhat nearby the sliding door. Daffodil’s fear grew more but brave as she is, she tried to overcome what she feels and think how to protect herself just in case they will be attacked by wolves. She grabbed her bag nearby and got her pepper spray inside.

Lexus furrowed when she saw what she got inside her bag. “Don’t spray perfume; it will ignite more of your smell to the wolves,” he whispered.
