CHAPTER 21

LEIGH’s POV

              I couldn't stop myself from walking back and forth in front of my locked bedroom door. Because of the nervousness I'm experiencing right now, I instinctively bite the nails of my thumb. This is one of my bad mannerisms.

Despite the fact that I didn't get much sleep last night, I aim to wake up early today to speak with Wayne. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to do that later because he gets up early to go to work.

After almost a second, I immediately stopped walking and pressed my ear against my bedroom door to listen to him outside. I still mustered up the courage to face him and to say what I wanted to say to him because I knew in myself that I had no right to oppose him. When I heard nothing from outside, I immediately throw a gazed at the wall clock in this room to check what time it was. It's almost six o'clock in the morning.
