CHAPTER 52

THE NEXT DAY…

Wayne and Leigh are on their way to a meeting at a coffee shop. While Leigh was in the shotgun seat, Wayne was driving while explaining what the woman had to do later.

"You don't have to be scared. This is just a casual meeting. If you don't want to answer, no one will force you," Wayne explained to Leigh.

'Even though Leigh didn't say it, I knew she was really nervous. She had been quiet before and seemed to be deep in thought. I don't want her to make a mistake in the meeting later, so as much as possible, I have to tell her what she should do.'

"Don't answer if you don't want to. You have all the right to refuse. When the lawyer asks you later some things that you don't feel comfortable answering, you also don't have to answer."
